Beijing Dafaun Poultry Breeding Co., Ltd. was founded in 2002, with its headquarters located in Shunyi District, Beijing. The company is a national key leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization, a national high-tech enterprise, a Zhongguancun high-tech enterprise, a Beijing "specialized, refined, differential, innovative" enterprise, and a Beijing "innovative" enterprise. The company is a technology-driven broiler breeder enterprise integrating "introduction, breeding, promotion and production", with the breeding of great-grandparent and parent-generation white-feathered broiler breeder, hatching of breeding eggs, sales of breeding chicks and technical services as its core business.

Dafaun adopts the biosecurity model of "regional distribution and multi-point dispersion". After 20 years of technological breakthroughs and leapfrog development, it has 10 wholly-owned and holding companies in seven provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, namely Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Henan, Inner Mongolia, Jilin and Shandong. The stock of great-grandparent broiler breeders reaches 180,000 sets, and the stock of parent-generation breeder chickens reaches 3 million sets, ranking among the top in China in terms of production and operation capacity of great-grandparent white-feathered broiler breeders.

Beijing Dafaun is committed to ensuring the industrial security of China's white-feathered broiler breeder industry, and is a major large-scale production base for Ross 308 great-grandparent and parent-generation broiler breeder in China. Dafaun is a standing director unit of the China Animal Agriculture Association and the president unit of the China White-feathered Broiler Industry Branch. It is a demonstration breeding poultry farm under the National Key Research and Development Program, a pilot unit for production management of livestock and poultry farms in Beijing, the "Teaching, Scientific Research and Practical Education Base" of the College of Animal Science and Technology of Shandong Agricultural University, and the "Teaching and Internship Base" of the College of Veterinary Medicine of China Agricultural University.
